Our job is to make your job easier...

Josh Holmes has been a software developer and trainer for 8 years, and provides training and mentoring services to software developers in the areas of XML, C++, VB, Enterprise Application Design and Windows DNA. He's done extensive work with XML in both Internet and Client-Server applications. Among his recent development projects, he wrote an XML/COM-based client architecture for a user-driven and configurable UI: each of the components available to client was read in from an XML stream and used to generate a UI and menus based on the client’s requests and login ID. He also wrote an XML-based reporting system that delivered reports to hybrid clients.

He’s written course material for and taught the XML BootCamp, the XML Spy BootCamp, the C# Bootcamp, the ASP.NET Bootcamp, the VB.NET Bootcamp, and other classes to groups of 10 or more developers on the following topics:

  • XML
  • Object-oriented programming
  • C++
  • C#
  • Visual Basic
  • Visual Basic.NET
  • COM
  • ATL
  • Internet Banking

As speaker, he’s participated in and continues to speak at Software Development West, Software Development East and the DevConnections Conferences, VCDC, Web Services Edge giving talks on a variety of topics including: SOAP, .NET, COM and XML.

His mission is to improve the skill set of those pursuing the craft of software development.
